The second edition of this Games was scheduled to be held in Qatar in 1999, but did not take place.
An edition was also scheduled to be held in Lebanon in 2001, but was moved to Madinat al-Kuwait and rescheduled to 20 to 30 October 2001. Due to armed conflicts in the region, the Games have been postponed to 3 to 12 April 2002.
The third edition of this Games was scheduled to be held in Dimashq (SYR) from 7 to 17 April 2003, but they have been first postponed and later cancelled.
