Only the winner received a small gold medallion on a key ring chain with no awards being made to competitors in second and third place although all competitors received a commemorative souvenir similar to the winnerβs medal. There were no flags, opening processions, music, or opening speeches. Athletes entered a as individuals, and not as representatives of their country.
